Case Histories
Protecting your financial freedom. There are many advantages to achieving a measure of financial freedom. Few people understand the issues faced by those of higher net worth. You have the responsibility for managing your wealth and for protecting it. Ever changing laws require constant vigilance to enable you to transfer your wealth to those your desire instead of to the IRS.Your life is also more complex. Sometimes you have to question the motives of those around you. For instance, one client who is a prominent member of the medical profession in our community shared his concern that his children would be courted by those more interested in his children’s future inheritance than his children. When was the last time an acquaintance asked to borrow some money? How many times have you been asked to invest in a business? At Legacy Planning Group, Inc., we understand. We work for you and are there to make your life simpler and easier. We can shield you from these embarrassing situations. Our clients simply refer these requests to us, their financial advisor. That way, we can handle the situation objectively and professionally. One client was interested in purchasing a local business that they heard was for sale. On the surface it looked like it could be an attractive opportunity and our client was looking for a change of pace. To protect their identity and to analyze the financial viability, the client asked Mr. Voudrie to serve as a go-between. Mr. Voudrie took the time to understand what the client was looking for and why. He then contacted the owner of the business for sale, met with them and reviewed the books, the product and the market. His analysis revealed that the Return On Investment was not sufficiently high enough to justify the price demanded by the owner. Nor would it suitably match the temperament and lifestyle of the client. The client was able to investigate the opportunity and make a decision with complete anonymity. And since Mr. Voudrie only had his client’s best interest at heart and nothing to gain personally, he was able to render an objective, unbiased opinion. We work for you. |
