Case Histories
Business succession needs careful planning.Mr. Voudrie is an entrepreneur. At Legacy Planning Group, Inc., we are able to understand the unique challenges and opportunities our small business owner client’s face. For instance, one client (we’ll call her Mrs. Friedman) owned a business with her sister. They started the business many years ago. Over time it had prospered and grown to several locations. When she became our client, she was worn out from the long hours and the constant pressure. She wanted to retire and enjoy the benefits of all her years of hard work. But like most small business owners, she was so focused on the day to day management that she had not yet planned an exit strategy. We have been able to help her. Reducing the number of locations has simplified the management burden and increased the overall profitability of the business, making it much more attractive to any potential buyer As a result, Mrs. Friedman’s day to day responsibilities are reduced and her life is more enjoyable. We’ve worked with her and have taken over the management of her investments. Now, she knows that, financially, she can retire whenever she wants. |
